5-days Adventure & Yoga Retreat Greece (Samothraki)

5-days Adventure & Yoga Retreat Greece (Samothraki)

11th -15th of July of 2027

Discover the Greece few people have seen, Samothraki

There is another side of Greece.

Far away from the famous whitewashed islands and crowded beaches lies Samothraki — wild, green, mystical and beautifully untouched. This mountainous island in the northern Aegean feels like entering another world: waterfalls hidden beneath enormous plane trees, emerald natural pools, healing hot springs, forest trails, rugged mountains, secret beaches and some of the most breathtaking sunsets in Greece. For our July 2027 retreat, we are taking you somewhere you would probably never think to travel to on your own — and that is exactly what makes this journey so special.

This is not simply a yoga retreat.

It is five days of yoga, nature, adventure, Greek food, swimming, hiking, exploring and experiencing a side of Greece that very few international travelers ever get to see.

Retreat Highlights

  • Daily yoga at our beautiful boutique hotel in Therma

  • Hike through the forest to the magical Fonias Waterfall

  • Swim in Samothraki's famous emerald natural pools

  • Boat adventure along Samothraki's wild coastline

  • See Kremastos, an incredible waterfall that plunges directly into the Aegean Sea

  • Swim at the secluded sandy Vatos Beach

  • Explore the island's forests, mountains and hidden corners

  • Sunset dinners at traditional Greek tavernas

  • Authentic Greek food and long summer evenings together

  • Dinner and evening stroll through Chora, Samothraki's incredibly picturesque mountain town

  • Daily opportunities to slow down, connect and simply be

  • A small group of like-minded souls sharing one unforgettable Greek adventure

Samothraki is known for its waterfalls and natural rock pools, or vathres, while Mount Saos and surrounding landscapes form part of the Natura 2000 network.

WILD & FREE

Move. Explore. Swim. Connect.

This retreat is for the person who wants a little more from their yoga holiday. We will still slow down. We will still breathe. We will still begin our days moving together on the mat. But then we will go somewhere. We'll hike through forests, swim beneath waterfalls, jump from our boat into clear Aegean water, discover beaches only accessible from the sea and spend warm Greek evenings around tables filled with delicious local food. Yoga becomes our anchor, while the island becomes our playground. You don't need to choose between a retreat and an adventure. Here, you get both.

This is your vibe if you’re craving

  • Yoga without spending your entire holiday on a yoga mat

  • Adventure and exploration

  • Wild, untouched nature

  • Waterfalls, swimming and hiking

  • Authentic Greece rather than mass tourism

  • Long dinners and incredible Greek food

  • A beautiful balance between activity and rest

  • Meaningful connection with new people

  • Somewhere completely different

  • A trip you will talk about for years

The Destination, Samothraki Island (Greece's wild island of the Aegean)

Samothraki is Greece — but perhaps not the Greece you already know.

Rising dramatically from the northern Aegean, the island is dominated by Mount Saos and covered in forests, rivers and waterfalls. Crystal-clear mountain water tumbles between rocks forming natural swimming pools beneath giant plane trees, while thermal springs rise naturally from beneath the earth. There are no huge resort towns here. No rows of beach clubs. No polished version of Greece created for tourism. Instead, you find mountain villages, forest paths, family-run tavernas, wild coastline, clear water and the feeling that you've discovered somewhere that still belongs completely to itself. It is the kind of destination you might never go to if you weren't coming with us. And that is exactly why we chose it. Therma, where we will be based, is particularly known for its hot springs, waterfalls and forest trails surrounded by chestnut and plane trees.

Feed your soul.

Immerse yourself in the experience of yoga in magical Greece.

Travel Logistics

Getting to Samothraki is simple — and we’ll begin the adventure together.

Fly to Alexandroupolis, Greece, where our journey begins. On the morning of July 12th, 2027, we will meet as a group at the Port of Alexandroupolis and take the ferry together to Samothraki. The ferry crossing takes only around 40 minutes, giving us the perfect start to the retreat — leaving the mainland behind and arriving together on one of Greece’s most wild and beautiful islands. Once we arrive in Samothraki, we will continue together to our retreat home at Kaviri Boutique Hotel.

Our Stay at Kaviri Boutique Residence

Our home for the retreat is the beautiful Kaviri Boutique Residence, located in the heart of Therma. Modern, intimate and surrounded by Samothraki's natural beauty, Kaviri gives us the perfect base from which to explore the island. The hotel combines clean contemporary design with spacious rooms, private balconies, gardens and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool — giving us somewhere peaceful to return to after each day's adventures. Best of all, we are staying right where we want to be: in Therma, surrounded by waterfalls, forest and the island's famous natural hot springs. Wake up. Practice yoga. Have breakfast. And then decide which Samothraki adventure awaits us that day. Kaviri is in central Therma and has a swimming pool, gardens and contemporary rooms and suites; the hotel's own site lists the waterfalls approximately 1.2 km away.

Who Is This Retreat For?

You do not need to be an advanced yogi. And you definitely do not need to be an extreme adventurer. If you love nature, movement, travel, swimming, great food and discovering places far beyond the ordinary tourist trail, you will feel right at home here. Yoga is open to all levels, and our adventures will be approached with plenty of time to enjoy the journey rather than rush through it. Come alone or come with a friend. Most importantly, come curious.
