Travel Logistics

Choose between flying to Ilheus or Salvador. With easy access from either airport, we're here to assist in making your journey seamless. From Ilheus you will take a 1 hour cab ride to Itacaré. From Salvador, your options take about 6 hours. The Soulful Kind would be happy to help you organize a reliable cab from Ilheus or Salvador.

Villa Estrela: Your Sanctuary

Experience comfort in modern Scandinavian-designed bungalows surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Located just 50 meters from Concha Beach, our oasis-like setting enriches your daily practice. The Yoga studio is just outside of your window and inside your bungalow you find a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a dining area, a spacious bathroom, a comfortable bedroom, a bed with a deluxe mosquito net and a balcony or patio with a jungle view or garden. Also including Air Con, WiFi, Cable TV and kitchen supplies. All rooms are private with a lot of space for you to rewind and re-energize on your own.

Bella Estrela

Bella, co-owner of The Soulful Kind and an experienced retreat leader, a 500 hour E-RYT and YACEP yoga teacher trainer, and SUP Yoga instructor, brings profound expertise and passion to this sacred space. Originally from Sweden, she has woven her understanding of yoga into the Itacaré community since 2015. With a philosophy extending beyond postures, Bella invites students to explore yoga as a holistic path to self-discovery. Her dedicated practice and commitment to transformative learning create an environment where boundaries dissolve. Bella loves using yoga to lead a balanced life and will teach you tools to regulate energy, fostering strength and health in your body.

Luiza Vianna

Luiza Vianna, a seasoned yoga instructor, brings a dynamic approach to her teachings with expertise in Vinyasa Yoga and Yin Yoga. Trained in these diverse disciplines, Luiza's classes offer a holistic blend of energizing flow and deep, meditative practices. What sets her apart is her specialization as an adjustment expert. As the leader of the daily asana clinic, Luiza guides students in gaining an in-depth understanding of adjustment and alignment techniques, ensuring that practitioners not only refine their poses but also develop a heightened awareness of their bodies.

Lygia Calvet

Lygia Calvet, an experienced yoga instructor, artfully combines her expertise in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with a touch of mystique. Trained in ancient traditions, Lygia infuses her classes with a unique blend of physical, mental, and spiritual exploration. What sets her apart is the integration of astrology and a profound understanding of the seven chakras into her teaching methodology. This distinctive approach adds depth, offering students not only physical benefits but also a transformative journey towards self-discovery and energetic balance.

Amanda Lume

Amanda Lume is our Vinyasa Yoga teacher—and what many lovingly call the “yoga mama” of the group. Born and raised in the capital, she moved to Itacaré in 2018 to follow her dream of living close to the ocean and surfing in paradise. Amanda brings a uniquely gentle, nurturing energy to the YTT journey, offering each student personalized care and heartfelt support, alongside teaching morning practices and theory classes. Her deep connection to spirituality, meditation, and subtle energy creates a soulful bridge between body and spirit in every class she leads.

Mayra Lay

Mayra Lay is a yoga and fitness instructor based in Itacaré, but originally from São Paulo, she spent 11 years in Nashville, Tennessee, where her yoga practice deepened and she began her path as a teacher. Mayra is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher and holds Yoga Sculpt and Group Fitness certifications. Her teaching blends Vinyasa and strength-based practices, creating classes that are both dynamic and grounding. With a strong interest in anatomy, breath, and mindful movement, Mayra encourages students to explore yoga as a path of self-discovery, meeting themselves with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity.

Jordan Majdalani

Jordan Majdalani, is a speech-language pathologist and mindset coach deeply immersed in the realm of holistic well-being. Originally from Chicago and presently calling Brazil home, Jordan's journey has guided him toward certifications in yoga, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), and Ayurveda. As the founder of an online coaching business, Jordan weaves together the wisdom of modern science and ancient practices. In this space, clients are empowered to reprogram subconscious patterns, deeply understand their mind-body connection, and confidently step into their most authentic selves.

Vithusha Balachandran

Raised in Sri Lanka and shaped by a life lived across many cities before landing in New York City, Vithusha Balachandran embodies a unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern living. Deeply connected to the roots of yoga while understanding the realities of contemporary life, she brings a fresh and relatable perspective to the timeless teachings of yoga philosophy. During the training, Vithusha guides students beyond memorizing ancient texts, helping them uncover how yogic wisdom can be meaningfully applied to relationships, work, purpose, and everyday life. Her thoughtful, grounded approach makes philosophy accessible, inspiring, and deeply relevant, allowing students to experience yoga as a living practice rather than simply a historical tradition.

Charlotte Eivesteen

As co-owner of The Soulful Kind and a seasoned yoga instructor with over a decade of experience, Charlotte leads all online content for our training. Hailing from Sweden, she infuses her classes with Scandinavian warmth and expertise. Her nurturing guidance ensures that participants, whether seasoned yogis or beginners, embark on a fulfilling and transformative experience.
